Summer’s Here! June 18, 2010

Congratulations to all our students who are ending another successful school year. Stonington High School’s Class of 2010 will be heading to college, work or other endeavors — we wish them all the best.

We also congratulation all students who will be moving up — from elementary to middle school, middle school to high school, or just from one grade to the next. They’ve all worked hard and deserve a break to enjoy some time with friends and family.

We also thank our staff, faculty and administrators. Their efforts are always appreciated.

Have a safe and happy summer. A new school year will be upon us before we know it.

Technology Update June 18, 2010

The Board welcomes Jason M. Jones as the new director of technology for Stonington Public Schools.

Mr. Jones was chosen from 35 applicants for the post. He has worked for the past six years as Information Technology Manager for the Town of Stonington.

Welcome Mr. Jones.

Also, be on the lookout of a new Stonington Public Schools website. Outgoing Technology Director Paul Picard, with the help of many others in the school system, has designed a site that will be easier to use, include information for all school constituencies and – best of all – feature a slide show of our students doing all types of wonderful activities.

We look forward to this great new site.
